- The Manaia is a guardian figure that moves seamlessly between the physical and spiritual world. This Manaia depicts the head of a bird, body of a man and the tail of a fish. The balance between the sky, earth, and sea. It acts as a kaitiaki (guardian) for the wearer and represents protection and balance throughout life’s journey.
